EVOLVING BRANDS


Business objectives:
To digitise 21 magazine brands and provide each with a new curated digital subscription and rewards experience.

My brief:
Provide a creative concept for each brand that will become the framework from which all marketing and retention communications will be derived from. Oversee the creation of all assets in support of App, Microsite and brand extension launches.

The ultimate film experience

Empire was the first brand to evolve onto multiple digital platforms with multi-level subscription packages. I took inspiration from the core brand values of the cinema experience and exclusive content to bring the digital experience to life.

GRAZIA joins the exclusive club

Based on the success of Empire’s evolution, I looked again at the brand pillars and the focus was on curated and interactive elements of an exclusive club. This needed to work across packaging design to live online event graphics and marketing.

Going deeper into the music

Working closely with the editor we discovered an aesthetic built around the nostalgia and curation of a variety of musical tastes. This was the first time the brand had looked at itself in this way and it came away with a stronger sense of identity.
